Yesterday mom sprained her ankle at work so today she's home with me. I figured she stayed home because she wanted me to take care of her so I figured a few snuggles would make everything all better.
I sacrificed my time in my own bed to get on the couch with her to "let the healing begin" but I forgot that I hadn't taken my 9-5 nap so I kinda fell asleep and was awoken to my mom giving me the boot because, according to her, I was taking over the whole couch and pushing her off.
I was just trying to help :-( so instead I let her borrow my favorite toy.

:::YAWN:::

I was so exhausted from my day at the park yesterday and since I behaved so well my mom thought i deserved to use one of my new beds. I was so excited to use it that I almost didn't even wait for her to put it on the floor that I was already getting comfy on it.

Working on my tan

Today was such a gorgeous day out that my parents decided the best way to spend it would be to go to the park for a picnic. They brought me one of my favorite snacks so I can keep busy but I didn't even bother with it because there was so much to see, so much to hear and so much to smell.
The day would've been perfect except for the guys that were playing catch to close for comfort. The first time the ball hit my dad I was pretty upset and barked at him and when he didn't catch my drift I put on my game face and growled at him when he came to get the ball a second time. I don't know if it was my fish breath or my evil eye that did the trick but they packed up and went further away to play their boring game.

Thank you Nana

As soon as my Nana heard that I had to get stitches she wanted to jump on a plane to come rescue and spoil me but my mean mommy told her she was crazy.
So my Nana loving me as much as she does decided that she could still spoil me from afar and sent me a care package addressed just for me. She sewed 3 new beds for me, which works great to replace the one in my crate that just magically started ripping allll by itself and the stuffing fall out :-x, maybe someone was trying to set me up but anyway I digress. Also in the box there was a rubber hot dog, a rubber chicken and a musical "get well" card signed by grandpa, my aunt, uncle, little cousins and of course my Nana.
Mom & dad let me play with the hot dog, I miiiight've been a bit persistent on trying to get it out of their hands but hey it's mine not theirs. Anyway I decided to start tearing it apart to see where the squeaking was coming from but as soon as i opened it all of a sudden it stopped so I figured I'd continue tearing it apart just for fun. The 'rents let me play because I wasn't swallowing any of the pieces duhhhh why would I swallow it if it's not a REAL hot dog.

I have been saved...

...from my stinkin' cone and stitches, ready to get in to more trouble (teehee).

The doc told us that what I had on my foot was a benign tumor medically known as viral squamous papilloma. I've been warned that I might see it again on another part of my body so I'll have to be on the lookout. I guess it wasn't so bad and now I can complain with the rest of the country about my medical bills.

Cone Shmone

.My parents came home from work today and thought I was being "rebellious" because of what I did to my cone. They know nothing about style, they thought my cone being just plain was fine pfff AS IF.

I decided to give it a little bit of a dotted pattern all around and I have to admit I'm pretty proud of my design.

Lucky for me my new cone design helped me have easier access to my bandages so I decided to save the vet some time and take them off myself. Mom & dad weren't too happy but it did make the doc and my nana LOL.

Dear NY,

Currently in the state of NY there is a $3 surcharge for the licensing of unaltered pets. These $3 go to help fund the speutering of shelter animals & low income family pets. It is currently being proposed to allow local governments to use this money for whatever they want or to even stop collecting it at all. This is very unfortunate on the already burdened shelters so please join me in signing this petition to let Gov. Patterson know you are against this idea.

Love,
Charne

What a weekend

The snow is finally melting so bring on the good weather because I'm ready to go to the park.

Saturday came along and the weather was great, mom said I could go out and play if I behaved during my nail clipping and ear & teeth cleaning. When she went to clip my nails she noticed some weird looking growth in between my toes and of course immediately my leash is getting put on and off to the vet we went.

Doc said he had time to cut it out same day and send it in for biopsy to make sure it wasn't cancerous (crossing paws). Dad helped the doc to put me on the scale, he thought I was shaking because I was scared but it's just because that scale was cold :-x . The 'rents came to pick me up a few hours later to bring me back to home sweet home and can you believe that the first thing they did was laugh at my cone of shame. I mean I know they love me and all but it was a moment of weakness and to top it off they decided to take a pic of me.
